What Will You Learn?
The PADI Open Water Diver Course is designed to take you from a complete beginner to a confident, certified diver. You'll learn step by step, starting in a safe environment before experiencing the thrill of open water dives.
Knowledge Development – Through PADI Open Water Diver e-learning, you’ll gain a solid understanding of diving principles, safety, and equipment at your own pace with an interactive program.
Confined Water Dives – In pool sessions, you’ll practice essential scuba skills in a controlled setting, building confidence and mastering techniques before heading to the ocean.
Open Water Dives – The real adventure begins! You’ll complete four dives at some of Mauritius’ most breathtaking dive sites, applying your skills while exploring vibrant coral reefs and marine life.
What Can You Do with This Certification?
As a PADI Open Water Diver, you’ll have the freedom to explore the ocean anywhere in the world, diving to a maximum depth of 18 meters (60 feet). This globally recognized certification allows you to dive independently with a certified buddy, opening the door to incredible underwater adventures.
What Scuba Gear Will You Use?
During the PADI Open Water Diver Course, you'll learn to use essential scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device, and tank. No need to worry about equipment — Dodo Divers provides everything you need, and the rental fee is included in the course price.
How Long Will It Take?
After completing your e-learning, the practical training takes place over three mornings.
Short on time?
We can compress the course into two full days to fit your schedule. If you're looking for a shorter introduction to diving, consider the Scuba Diver Course or Discover Scuba Diving instead!
